The Vines
We planted our first vines in 1999, and produced our first bottle of Rosina Pinot Noir in 2005. Our 2000 pinot vines are dry farmedthey require only naturally occurring groundwater.
Each year, we plant a cover crop of bell beans, oats, and rye grass. These plants are tilled into the soil to return nutrients used by the grape vines.
The Wines
At Rosina Vineyard, we currently produce 3 products. Our signature wine, the Rosina Pinot Noir, is made in the burgandy style. It's aged for 14 months in French oak barrels: ⅓ new, ⅓ year-old, and ⅓ neutral.
We just started making a Pinot Rosé from our own grapes, and we also make a blended wine, Ed's Red, from purchased grapes.
From the grapes we grow, we produce 300 cases of pinot each year.
